Welcome to my practice.
I earned my doctoral degree from The George Washington University School of Professional Psychology. I completed my internship/ residency at The Catholic University of America Counseling Center, which is accredited by the American Psychological Association (APA). My earlier training included rotations with The George Washington Center Clinic and The University of the District of Columbia. I also have experience providing psychological assessments in both court and private practice settings. I have also completed advanced post-graduate training in perinatal mental health. In addition to my clinical practice, I provide supervision for post-doctoral students.
As a clinician, I use an integrative approach, drawing primarily from psychodynamic, interpersonal, and cognitive-behavioral techniques in order to best meet the needs of each unique client. I believe that collaboration and a positive therapist-client relationship are important components of effective therapy. My treatment approach is to provide support and feedback to help facilitate insight and understanding to ultimately help change behavioral and relational patterns that may be getting in the way of your happiness and satisfaction. While I tend not to offer direct advice, my style is interactive in nature to help guide you towards a more positive overall emotional well-being.
